Product Qualities & Standards

Material Sourcing
All non-exotic wood is sourced locally, with the exception of Pine.
Exotic woods are ordered online and shipped from Africa.

Sanding & Preparation
Each project is sanded thoroughly to 220-grit. This gives the feel of a quality product, while not over-sanding to cause finishing issues.

Finish & Protection
Projects are finished with either a stain, paint, or soaked in mineral oil. Some projects are clear-coated to provide added durability.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for my Cutting Board / Charcuterie Tray?
Cutting Boards and Charcuterie Trays finished with Mineral Oil need to be refinished with Mineral Oil periodically! A typical board should be refinished every 1-3 months, dependent on frequency of use.
Re-apply Mineral Oil to your board until any dry spots are fully saturated. Keeping the wood saturated will prevent warping and splitting from air and water.
Never soak your Cutting Board / Charcuterie Tray in water or clean in the dishwasher. Always hand-wash with dish-soap.
Which of your products are food-safe?
Our Cutting Boards and Charcuterie Trays are finished with 100% food-safe Mineral Oil, nothing more! These products can be used to prepare and serve food.
Serving Trays and other products finished with Lacquer or Shellac are safe to be served with food, but not to be used for food preparations.
Always avoid raw meats/fish on wooden surfaces due to bacteria contamination.
Where is your Wood sourced from?
All our domestic woods (Cherry, Walnut, Maple, Oaks, Hickory) are sourced locally here in Allen County from Siefker Sawmill.
Our exotic woods (Purpleheart, Canarywood, Ebony, Padauk, Yellowheart, Wenge) are sourced from Africa.
